I will start my Callaway X22 review by mentioning that I was looking to buy well designed irons which would help me to improve my game and would be economical, so as not to leave my wallet dry. If that sounds similar to what you are looking for, then feel free to read further for how these clubs actually feel and perform.

Callaway X22 Review- Actual Performance
I was a bit hesitant to go for the Callaway X 22 Iron set at the beginning due to a higher price as compared to the X 18 irons set, but I knew they are loaded with advanced technology as well. I now think that the extra money that I spent initially has definitely been worth it due to smoothness and lift in my game. My handicap has dropped by 3 over the past 3 months.
According to Callaway, Callaway X-22 irons most striking feature is their ability to generating optimum trajectories for ball-flight. This has been made possible by Callaway’s advanced technology involving True Bore Designing and Variable Face Thickness technology(VFT), maximizing the perimeter weighting which renders a high Moment of Inertia (MOI) into these clubs. This means that X22 golf irons preserve a perfect Center of gravity (CG).
I have personally experienced that even when I slightly off-center the strikes, shots end up pretty well. I noticed that I felt very less vibration when I started swinging with these new irons. I believe the carbon fiber and steel combination absorbs excessive vibrations and leaves us with a comfortable and smooth swing experience. These clubs possess around 10% more forgiveness characteristics than the previous irons from Callaway.
Thanks to the two advantages mentioned above, namely softening of vibrations and high forgiveness, that I am experiencing amazing precision and accuracy and as a result, am hitting the ball straighter and farther than ever before. The ball speed seems to have improved, adding extra yards to my drives. I have added around 12 yards in distance to my drives using the Callaway X-22 Irons. This is amazing considering that I made almost no changes to my technique during this time. A few of my buddies also tried swinging with my new X 22 irons and told me that the feel they got was way superior that their old Callaway clubs.

These irons are out and out the winner for me. As mentioned above in the Callaway X22 review, I have added distance to my drives without changing my technique or swing dynamics at all. Excellent performance and ease in play, definitely keep me on the course all day. You can choose from steel shafts and graphite, all your preference.
